Biography

Mr. Joseph W. Cho is admitted to the New York Bar.

He received a JD degree from The Pennsylvania State University - Penn State Law. He was a recipient of full-tuition scholarships throughout his law school years. Previously, he attained a BA degree in Economics from University of Wisconsin- Madison.

Mr. Cho joined this firm as a law clerk. He is responsible for drafting legal documents and preparing legal memoranda on specific immigration issues. He conducts comprehensive legal research of statutes, regulations, and case law in the various practice areas Cho & Leigh represents. He assists partner attorneys in every aspect of litigation.

Mr. Cho is fluent in Korean and able to assist clients in matters involving a heavy load of documents in Korean. He serves as a case manager and regularly communicates with clients, attorneys, adversaries, judges, and court personnel related to the cases.

Prior to joining this firm, Mr. Cho worked as a law clerk at law firms in New York and New Jersey and assisted numerous cases on minority groups and foreign workers. During law school, Mr. Cho volunteered on a clinic team for Vietnam veterans suffering from cancer and leukemia. His team filed briefs to the Board of Veterans Appeals and won some service connection benefits for acute myeloid leukemia.
